About the Faculty
The Faculty of Economics in Skopje is founded on 14.11.1950 by the decision of the Government of Macedonia and " with a purpose to theoretically built and practically prepared a highly qualified economic stuff ".At the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, the Faculty of Economics has been formed as the fifth in the line among that time founded faculties in the Republic of Macedonia, while in ex Yugoslavia it was one of the first three faculties of economics. On 3.11.1951 the Faculty has been renamed in Faculty of Economics and Law with two departments - Law and Economics. On 1.07.1956 the Law - Economic Faculty has been divided on two independent faculties- Law and Economics. Since than the Faculty of Economics exists as a highest teaching - scientific institution in the area of economic sciences in the Republic of Macedonia.
