Scientific Research Activities
The scientific-research and applicable activities are performed mainly through the Center for professional training and scientific research work at the Faculty of Economics (CPT). In cooperation with various domestic and foreign institutions the Faculty has made over 130 domestic and international projects.
Preparing projects of fundamental, developmental and applicable character most often does the scientific-research activity. Subject matter of research are different questions and problems from the area of the macroeconomic policy, the strategy of the social and economic development, the economic relations of our country with other countries, the management, the marketing, the economy of enterprises, the accounting and business finances, the transformation of the enterprises with public property, market and prices, finance and banking and the like.
The consulting activities are carried out to give professional advice to the enterprises and their managerial bodies. The Faculty is organizing special courses for the needs of professional knowledge of the managerial staff in our country from the field of: the financing of the enterprises (the types of securities, optimization of the financial resources of the enterprises, making plans, the policy of dividends; investments and investment management; marketing; foreign trade and internationalization of the enterprises; organization of enterprises; small business and enterpreneurship; financial management for people not trained as economists; macroecnomic projects for the needs of the government and its institutions, and the like.
Publishing Activity
The results from the educational and the scientific-research activity are published in different publications: books, articles, student books, anthologies, monographs, and others. The longest tradition of all belongs to the yearbook of the Faculty that exists from 1950. The major part of its publishing activities the Faculty performs on its own, but it also cooperates with other publishers abroad.
A considerable number of books, students’ materials, individual scientific publications, workshop publications, materials from scientific assemblies and conferences and other publications are regularly published, as well.
